I don't really know a lot of government officers, but I think that there are indeed a lot of governors doing the things like how Macbeth did, for example I think at one point of time, there was a Japanese governor trying to become the new president or something long time ago and his servants assassinated that president at that time. I think that it is similar as Macbeth since Macbeth's servant(his wife) and governor's servants(their followers) both assassinated the person who have the highest power and they became standing on the highest power podium.
The actions of Macbeth also resembles as the Lincoln and JFK assassinations, the original goal of the assassination might have been so the vice president or another candidate president can become the new president after Lincoln and JFK been assassinated. This can relate back to Macbeth as if Lincoln and JFK were Duncan and the assasins were Macbeth. Which actually, after Lincoln and JFK died, there were new presidents coming up, replacing the old president Licoln and JFK, like how Macbeth replaced Duncan.
